Karen Robinson has spent her career shaping Canadian film, television, and theatre with honesty, intelligence, and depth. Many know her as Ronnie Lee from Schitt’s Creek, but her body of work stretches far beyond, with rich performances across stage and screen that always leave their mark.
In recent years, she has only expanded her presence. She has been a steady part of series like Pretty Hard Cases and A Million Little Things, bringing heart and complexity to characters that audiences come back to again and again. She has also taken on major work for streaming platforms, joining the ensembles of Netflix’s Echoes and Peacock’s The Calling, adding to her long list of series credits. Most recently, she stepped into the role of Inspector Vivienne Holness in Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, bringing her unmatched talents to the globally recognized franchise.
Karen’s work has been celebrated with a Canadian Screen Award for Mary Kills People and a SAG Award for her contribution to the Schitt’s Creek ensemble. Her continued growth as an artist, at a stage when many would be slowing down, is exactly why she is this year’s Trailblazer Award winner. Karen Robinson is not only still working, but creating more unforgettable performances than ever, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
