About the Series

I’m Also Here is a funny and fearless anthology comedy series about showing up — for yourself, for other people, and for the moments you didn’t see coming. With warmth, wit, and a sharp eye for human behaviour, the series finds humour in the emotional blind spots we all recognize.

Set across six towns in southern Ontario, each episode drops into a different pocket of everyday life. A caregiver risks everything to chase stand-up comedy. A bride is forced to choose which friendship truly matters. Old friends attempt a phone-free reconnection. Seniors spiral through a crafting project gone wrong. Emotions compete for control inside a massage clinic. A small-town robbery becomes an unexpected act of solidarity.

Together, these stories create a shared world — one shaped by awkwardness, care, and the quiet bravery it takes to stay present.

The Making of I’m Also Here

While each episode tells its own story, I’m Also Here was built as a single, collaborative project. The series brings together multiple writers, directors, cast, and crew, with each episode shaped by the creative team and community where it was filmed.

Created by an entirely female and non-binary team, the project also includes a mentorship component that supports emerging artists alongside established creators. Shot in six Ontario towns, the production model prioritizes collaboration, specificity of place, and the belief that strong, local stories can resonate far beyond where they begin.

    At a pre-wedding weekend gone sideways, an indecisive bride finds herself forced to choose which friendship truly deserves a place beside her. As the party escalates, old dynamics resurface and loyalties are quietly tested in unexpected ways.
