Welcome to The Firecracker Department Comedy Café—where laughter is served fresh, strong, and with a side of community. And coffee!
Once a month, we brew up a bold new lineup of professional comics ready to serve you their finest, funniest material—all before dinner. Think of it as your midday dose of joy, brought to you by some of Canada’s finest female and gender diverse comedic talents.
Each show features a handpicked lineup of hilarious performers—stand-ups, storytellers, sketch artists—bringing their A-game to our stage. After the show, we stick around for a relaxed, come-as-you-are chat where artists and audience can connect, swap stories, and share a few more laughs.
Comedy is the heart and soul of Firecracker.
We LOVE to laugh- with others and at ourselves! Comedy and improv teach us so much about how to approach life and its challenges. Everything we do at the Firecracker Department is driven by “yes, and?” and our continued investment in joy.
Our monthly Comedy Café is a showcase of our heart. Seasoned professionals and new-on-the-scene comedians taking the stage together, trying new things and making us laugh every show.
